What is Airsoft?

Airsoft is a modern combat sport or recreational hobby in which participants eliminate opponents by hitting each other with spherical non-metallic pellets launched from a compressed-air gun (or Soft Air gun) powered by gas, manual spring-load, or an electrically powered gearbox.”Wikipedia

Team Rubber Ducks

Who is your Daddy and what does he do?

Team Rubber Ducks participate in the Airsoft sport, and are part of the Granite Guerrillas. We are based in Aberdeen and play on private land in Methlick. We meet most weekends and play mixed games which can include Team Deathmatch and Attack and Defend. There is a range of experience in the skirmishers that play and, as the sport grows, more will follow.

Granite Guerrillas is our combined team name (sometimes!) and includes The Korps (Der Korps). When playing locally we fight under two teams but, if we play away, we play as one. This brings a good mix into the game and allows teams to develop faster in terms of tactics and playing style.

Multicam

I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle

MultiCam is a modern multi-environment camouflage pattern developed by Crye Associates in conjunction with U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center (also known as U.S Army Natick labs). The pattern was on the race to replace the out-dated 3-color desert and Woodland patterns, but eventually lost to the Universal Camouflage Pattern seen in the Army Combat Uniform. The pattern is available to civilians.”Wikipedia

Rubber Ducks uses the MultiCam camouflage. We see this as an excellent all rounder as it can adapt to nearly all environments.

The Site

There are two main areas of land to play on, The Barn and The Hoche.

The Barn allows a mix of CQB and outdoor encounters. We are currently in the processes of clearing some indoor sections which will change the style of play dramatically. The number of teams that would usually play here is two.

The Hoche is a large piece of land that is completely outdoors and provides a mix of woodland, clearings and raised sniper ground. Many different approaches can be done here and Attack and Defend is probably the most played match type. The numbers of teams usually played here can vary from 2 up to 4.

The site is private ground and is not open to the public.
