This was also bought to go along with a Nam loadout – the basic and simple look to it makes it feel older. It fits well on my head and is quite comfy too. The only problem I had was it steaming up, and that can be a big problem, removing some tape covering some of the air holes helped. I might need to make some modification’s though to allow more air through, a drill will do the trick!

PRO’s:

I bought this to help me complete my Nam loadout and I’m left very impressed. The quality is great and has some very sturdy braces so you can clip on pouches or harness. Its a bit stiff but will soften up over use. At this price I couldn’t really fault it so it gets full rating from me.

REVIEW:

I bought this recently so I could have an OD vest and something that might fit into a Nam loadout. It’s possible a bit too light green at the moment but a bit of mud and wear will sort it out I’m sure. You can see on our website me wearing it (Gallery 07/03/2010) to get an idea what it looks like in game. It fits quite snugly which is nice as I hate it jumping about. There are loop straps to affix it to a belt if you so wish, I did this to reduce movement and it worked. The mag pouches are nice and big so will easily fit AK mag’s and anything smaller, I was using them for both M4 short and long mag’s. Overall the rig is made of reasonable quality and great for the price paid.
